This October, on the eve of the realty expo, Cityscape 2008, two-time Academy Winner Hillary Swank, is all set to create a stir in Dubai. The `Million Dollar Baby’ will be launching Aquitainia on The World, an out of the world private island development spread over 1 million square feet on Nakheel’s archipelago.
Swank has been signed up by Select Property and Select Group, joint developers of the AED 5.5 billion Aquitainia, a development which combines the islands of France and Spain.
Swank, renowned for her astute business brain, will play host at the Buddha Bar showcasing the deluxe beachfront properties that epitomise glamour and style.
“Aquitainia is one of the most exclusive projects launched in Dubai to date, and the presence of an iconic personality like Hillary Swank, accentuates the uniqueness of the project.” said Mr. Rahail Aslam, CEO of Select Group.
Swank, renowned for her award winning appearances as a transgender man in Boys Don’t Cry and a struggling waitress-turned boxer, Maggie Fitzgerald in Million Dollar Baby will also be hosting Select Property’s London launch of Aquitainia which is scheduled for the last week of September, before proceeding to Dubai.
American R&B star Kelly Rowland (ex member of Destiny’s Child), a regular visitor and huge star in Dubai, will be performing whilst the guests will get a chance to mingle with their potential new neighbours.
There is more to look forward to as Miss Swank isn’t pulling any punches with this affair and has confirmed many other guests – to be announced nearer the time.
Aquitainia seeks to blend the spirit of the elegance of France and the Mediterranean passion of Spain, offering exclusive island living in a tranquil ambience surrounded by the wavy waters of the Arabian Sea.
Aquitainia is derived from the province of Galia Aquitainia from the Middle Ages. The province, combining Spain and France was surrounded by great beauty with white sandy beaches embracing the Atlantic Ocean on its western side and the Pyrenees mountain range towards its south. The development of Aquitania is situated in a similarly ideal location at the centre of The World, occupying the islands of France and Spain.
