As managing director and founder of select property mark has grown a unique telephone and web-based business which has delivered a turnover of almost half a billion pounds in 4 years, with revenues and profits doubling in each of the last two financial years.
With a clear vision to ensure that the select property group remains at the forefront of the overseas property investment market, mark has steered the company to introduce numerous industry ‘firsts’. His pioneering approach, which firmly puts the customer at the heart of its strategy, led to select property achieving finalist status in ‘one to watch’ in the 2006 fast growing business awards.
On leaving school at 18 mark dived straight into commerce, establishing his first business at 20. Success in the car, leisure and it industry followed, establishing select property in 2004. Mark was in the 2008 earnest & young entrepreneur of the year and national business awards credit suisse entrepreneur of the year. He also appears in crains manchester business 40 under 40 2008.
HELEN WHITE
Marketing Director – Select Property Group
Joined select property group in july 2007 as marketing director of select property group, helen is responsible for defining and delivery of the company’s global marketing strategy.
In addition to generating new leads into the business, one of helen’s key targets is to build the level of communication with existing customers to ensure a high level of repeat and referral business. Introducing customer centric industry ‘firsts’, such as a dedicated portal which allows customers to make reservations online, review payments and view construction updates, has led to 1 in 5 customers making a referral.
With over 12 years marketing experience, helen began her career in the newspaper industry before moving on to top level management positions with two global communication companies, interoute telecom and teliasonera. Helen also ran her own pr & marketing agency before joining the select property team as marketing director. Helen holds a bachelor of law degree.
GILES BESWICK
Contracts Director - Select Property Group
Having worked for select property since its inception, giles focus is on securing the rights to commercially exploit select property’s collective ‘know how’, trademarks and database properties as an appointed agent or joint venture partner of international real estate developers. Giles manages the commercial risk for the business and its customers through clear and tightly controlled agreements with developers and business partners, whilst allowing the company to retain its pioneering approach to the market as it grows in size and reputation.
Select property was incorporated in spring 2004, with giles establishing the back office function of the company. In addition to being a director of select group, giles is also a director of select fractional ownership, a supplementary brand which is a shared ownership scheme alongside select property’s core off-plan property sales.
ADAM PRICE
Sales Director – Select Property Group
Adam Studied Business Studies and Marketing at Sheffield University. After graduation he went to work at Johnson and Johnson in a marketing role before joining the sales team at Select Property in September 2005. Adam excelled in his role and was quickly promoted to Team leader in December 2005. He was later dispatched to the Dubai Office and made Sales Manager. Adam’s continuous success and clear understanding of the company’s business model resulted in him being promoted to the role of Sales Director in December 2007.
As Sales Director, Adam is responsible for driving the sales function forward across all three offices (Dubai, UK and India) and covering the company’s whole portfolio products. Working with a team of Sales Managers Adam ensures the company’s aggressive sales targets are met. |
