Select Group Expands Its Dubai Portfolio with New Developments at Palm Jebel Ali and Dubai Design District

Select Group have entered a strategic agreement with Dubai Holding to develop two new landmark projects in Dubai: an upscale waterfront destination at Palm Jebel Ali, and a mixed-use, design-led community in Dubai Design District.

With Artistry Residences beginning construction in Dubai Design District and plans underway for a new development at Palm Jebel Ali, Select Group is expanding its presence across two very different parts of Dubai. Here’s a closer look at these locations and what makes them particularly compelling for future development.

Two Locations, One Consistent Approach

Palm Jebel Ali and Dubai Design District sit at opposite ends of what Dubai is becoming. One is the next chapter in the city's waterfront story; the other is the continued growth of its creative and design-led urban core. What connects them is how we choose where to build.

At Select Group a location isn’t selected because demand exists today. It is selected because of how it will evolve, what it can offer the people who live there, and how a development can genuinely add to the destination rather than simply occupy it. Both locations also share something fundamental to our approach: a connection to the waterfront. Waterfront living is more than a setting. It can shape how people experience a place, from the way they move through it to how they spend their time and connect with their surroundings. That's the thinking behind both of these projects.

Developing at Palm Jebel Ali

Palm Jebel Ali is one of the most significant new waterfront destinations Dubai has planned — seven islands, sixteen fronds, 13.4 kilometres of total length and more than 90 kilometres of beachfront, designed as a series of walkable, mixed-use neighbourhoods along the Arabian Gulf.

Our portfolio already includes established waterfront addresses — Six Senses Residences The Palm, Jumeirah Living Business Bay and Nautica in Dubai Maritime City which is bringing a new vertical perspective to waterfront living in some of Dubai's most established residential districts. Palm Jebel Ali is a different kind of opportunity: the chance to shape a destination from an earlier stage, rather than build within one that's already defined.

A New Development in Dubai Design District (d3)

Dubai Design District has grown into one of the city's most distinctive urban environments, a genuine creative ecosystem of galleries, studios, hospitality and public space, and the Middle East's first UNESCO Creative City of Design.

Artistry Residences has launched and brings design around d3's creative energy rather than sitting apart from it — connected to the district's galleries, studios and public spaces, not just its address. This new development builds directly on that experience.

Building on More Than Two Decades of Experience

Palm Jebel Ali and d3 build on more than twenty years of development across the UAE, including Peninsula in Business Bay, and Marina Gate in Dubai Marina.

It's an approach increasingly built around vertical communities, where residences, wellness, hospitality and social space come together within a single destination, and these two new projects continue that same thinking.
